HTC faced its fair share of issues with the Nougat update rollout for the HTC 10. The new ROM was launched in November but in January it was suddenly halted by HTC in Europe. 10 days later it resumed, but this time the fix lived for two days before the Taiwanese company paused the rollout for a second time.

Third time is the charm – HTC 10 owners in Europe can finally receive Nougat, but they won’t find the update in the menu of their phone.

According to Graham Wheeler, Production and Service Director at HTC, mainland Europe owners can download Android Nougat 7.0 over a PC connection. This means you have to backup all your info before it will be wiped. An update is not suggested to owners with carrier-locked devices or users from the Netherlands.
