Maruti Suzuki Jimny Preview
The fourth generation Jimny will share underpinnings with Baleno and Ignis. Under the hood, expect a 1.0 litre, boosterjet engine as standard; this is the same engine which will be used in Baleno RS and Ignis. Giving a skip to the diesel powertrain, Jimny is likely to be available with a 1.4 litre boosterjet engine mated to a new automatic transmission. Also expect the same 4×4 system to be used in the 4th gen Jimny as the upcoming Ignis. India could get the four-door extended wheelbase version whereas the shorter wheelbase two-door model is likely to be shipped to overseas markets.[“Source-auto.ndtv”]
