Birmingham Botanical Gardens is set to be transformed into a winter wonderland with a Christmas light trail.

This special festive event will light up the trees and glasshouses with a sparkling path that will wind its way through the gardens.

Look out for glittering trees, giant crystals, a carol-singing cedar coppice and a flickering fire garden stop for a kiss at Mistletoe Moment on a jewel-coloured trail set to seasonal music.

And, to top off the Christmas treat under the stars, there will be spiced cider, mulled wine and hot chocolate, marshmallow toasting, roasted chestnuts and other traditional fare.

There will also be vintage fairground rides, a larger-than-life Christmas tree and chance to look out for Santa and his elves along the way.
