Vegetable Rawa Appam

  • Step 1

    To make this breakfast recipe, in a bowl, mix together semolina, yogurt and water. Mix the ingredients well to form a flowing consistent batter. Make sure that the batter is free of any lumps. Once done, keep aside for a while.

    Meanwhile chop the onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, carrots finely and add them to the batter. Sprinkle salt as per your taste and mix thoroughly. Now add fruit salt and whisk the batter. After heating over medium flame, grease the cups of an appam pan lightly with refined oil and add the batter in sections of the pan.

  • Step 3

    Place the pan over medium flame and cover the pan with a lid. Let them roast for 2-4 minutes o one side. Once done, flip the side and brush this side with a little amount of refined oil. Roast while covering for another couple of minutes until crisp and golden. Remove from heat and transfer it in a plate. Serve with coconut chutney to enjoy!
